WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO Are you detailed and team oriented? Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Lead Person.
This position will supervise and direct the activities of skilled maintenance personnel, perform work for which qualified and assist in troubleshooting equipment as directed.
Will make recommendations as to means of correcting malfunctions or eliminating trouble and report to supervisor any unusual problems.
These general maintenance duties will be performed as found necessary or as directed.
Planning and organizing for team of employees; position is a working supervisor Supervise and direct the activities of skilled maintenance personnel Perform work for which he/she is qualified and assist in troubleshooting equipment as directed Perform repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing and screening or mobile equipment components Maintain proper tool/parts inventory for specified jobs Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to ensure production goals Maintain up-to-date written or data input spreadsheets on all equipment repairs Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer standards Inspect, diagnose, and perform repair and maintenance of all plant motorized equipment, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, shop machines, hoists, etc.
Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, rollers, motors, couplings, belts and belt clips etc.
Make major repairs to crushers, screens, mechanical feeders and conveyor Willingness to learn hydraulic systems Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR High school diploma or GED with additional technical training a plus Punctual with reliable transportation to and from work Willingness to work up to 12 hours per day/ 6 days per week 3-5 years related industry experience required Strong mechanical background with conveyors, screens and crushers Cutting and welding experience necessary Must be willing to learn to operate crushing plant equipment and mobile equipment Frequently lift 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 70 pounds MSHA trained a plus Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Kronos a plus WE OFFER Secure, long-term employment Competitive wage and benefits package Training and development Opportunities for advancement OT available Heidelberg Materials is a drug free workplace.
